Concrete channels move stormwater through neighborhoods, along roads and past everything built beside them. Slater builds reinforced concrete U-channels and trapezoidal channels, including the transitions, drop structures and outlets that make them work.

Who hires us
Flood control districts and public agencies hire us for new channels and channel improvements. Developers and national homebuilders bring us in for channels that run through or along a new tract. General contractors sub channel work to us on larger flood control and road jobs.
How we run the work
Channel work is often tight: block walls on one side, a fence or a road on the other. We stage wall pours so the corridor stays passable, keep our own excavators working inside the channel, and plan around storm season with the district so the work is protected when rain is forecast.
